You can construct the background for your pages using scraps that you can make a collage from, pieces of felt or fabric, or any other alternative material. Your page can contain any items that you think will make your page look more interesting. Place the photos on top of these interesting backgrounds to create something unique. Before you glue anything down, play with the layout to strike the balance on your pages that you find the most satisfactory. You will have to do a lot of cropping of photos, cutting of edges, and reworking of your other mementos to get it to look and feel the way you want it to. This is the part of the process that is the most time-consuming, but it is also not the one that you want to rush.
